to build a sound concrete base at the bottom of a garden in Bramley, Rotherham that measures 8 x 12 - this means that the base needs to be 6 inches bigger on both dimensions. Comptons suggest 4" thick concrete strengthened at the edges onto a similar level of hardcore with perhaps a dampproof membrane and steel reinforcement as necessary. the base must be perfectly square ie all 4 corners at perfect 90 deg right angles and perfectly level from front to back and side to side. the ground surrounding the base must be lower than the base to avoid water laying on the base and deteriorating it over time. A recent quoter said that a wooden frame is built primarily also. this shed is already on order but the job is not urgent - i just want a good job done that meets comptons criteria at an honest price.
there is easy access to the site and no clearing of trees etc needs to be done before work can commence.
thanks - Alan
