Connect Shower to Mains Water Pipe (in attic) to stop hot water push back.

Scenario: Over the last year we have had a lot of building work done on our house. New Boiler followed by a new bathroom. The Problem: The hot water from the new boiler pushes the cold water back up the pipe, into the 50 gallon storage tub, causing water to over run. The excess water is disposed of via the over flow pipe. This causes the shower mixer to be ineffective and the excess water has put extra pressure on the stop cock causing the seal to leak (causing more over flow). Proposed Solution: Link the Shower mixer to the Mains Water Pipe in the attic by running pipping a long attic floor, down into pipe box in bathroom and a long to shower.
