At our wits end with our living room wall which continues to show signs of dampness/wetness near the top.
First experienced the problem in circa Summer 2009 and had part of roof re-felted by a roofer. Didn't improve anything - Father In Law then located a totally blocked downpipe which was causing the guttering to be blocked. Convinced this was the solution and we even put in an extra downpipe for peace of mind.
All seemed fine for a few months - then problem returned. We found a cracked tile in line with the offending wall and had this changed by a roofer we found on this website. Also, we've had some cracks siliconed, particularly in the middle section that links our roof and our neighbours roof (sorry - don't know the technical term!).
No improvement whatsoever and we've no idea what to do next.
We need a damp proofing / roofing expert to come and solve our problem.
Look forward to hearing from anyone interested in taking a look.
Regards
Pete Sears
