The current soil pipe from the bathroom on the first floor of on a terraced house snakes along the side return wall at a height of 7 ft before attaching to a down pipe on the back wall which connects to the manhole at the back of the house.
Propose to relocate the soil pipe underground.
Job is to replace the soil pipe with a new one that travels straight down from the existing first floor bathroom, is connected to the waste pipe from a new toilet on the ground floor, and enters a trench dug into the ground, through a new manhole cover. To dig approx 6 m of trench and lay new soil pipe in it to link up to the gulley attached to the existing manhole at the back of the house. To fill over the trench and obtain any necessary building regulations paperwork.
The route of the trench is currently covered with paving stones laid directly on ground which can be easily lifted.
