I have lots of small, relatively simple, jobs which need doing ASAP (note: work does not need to be done between 9am and 5pm). No back filling / making good necessary as have someone who will do this for me. Jobs fall roughly into 5 categories: Smoke Detectors, Lighting, Plug sockets / mains switch, Miscellaneous and External. Please see below for breakdown of work: Smoke Detectors - Wire in 2 linked mains powered smoke alarms (pre-existing wiring) - Wire in 3 new mains powered smoke alarms (not linked to any others) Lighting - Wire in 3 new light fittings - wiring in place just changing light fitting (all surface mount) - Wire in a new light in study – (hole needs cutting to recess light into ceiling void (wiring in place) - Wire in a surface mount spotlight in bathroom about 10cm away from light fitting it is replacing (wiring in place) (all light fittings above are in hand) Plug sockets / mains switch - Fit 1 new double plug socket in small room above garage - Move a pre-existing double plug socket down about 5". Cut out for back box already made. - Convert a plug into a switched fused spur. Miscellaneous - Move surface mounted pull-cord switch for shower across about 2cm - Fit a new thermostat (already got) and re-site it about 10cm to left of current location. - Alter wiring in switch for bathroom heat lights and fan so fan comes on automatically with lights - Exchange 2 light switches (at top and bottom of stairs) for time delay switches (new switches not sourced at this stage) - Fit 2 PIR sensor controls, 1 in hall and 1 in kitchen (PIRs not sourced at this stage) External work - Replace 1 external light fitting - wiring already in place - Fit an external sensor light above garage - wiring already in place - Put wiring in place for a security light at front of house and fit an external sensor light. - Fit single 3 external power sockets – 1 at front of house, 3 at back. (None of the above light fittings/external sockets have been sourced at this stage)
