fit a whirpool to bath

weve bought a new bathroom suite with a whirlpool bath. would like the whirlpool fitting. we have a plumber scheduled for the first week in march to fit the bath but unsure whether we need the electrics done first or after? the walls are plasterboard at the minute, planning on tiling when we do the bathroom.
