I am planning on re-furnishing my entire bathroom (less than 2m x 2m x 2m) and would appreciate quotes for the following items, as depending on cost I may wish to do some parts myself:
1) Removal of bath, toilet, towel radiator, sink, taps, showerhead, floor lino and tiles from all four walls;
2) Disposal of the above items;
3) Re-plastering of all four walls with bonding plaster (this may not need to be done and depends on how the current tiles come off);
4) Re-skim ceiling smooth;
5) Apply latex screed to the floor to even out any ridges;
6) Minor amendments to feeds and waste connections to suit fitted furniture for toilet and basin installation;
7) Amend hot and cold feeds to suit spacing for new shower valve and outlet and/or pipes (in a solid wall). Make good to solid wall;
8) Tile all four walls (approx 15 square metres), window ledge and boxing for floor level pipes;
9) Tile floor (approx 2 square metres)
10) Install fitted furniture with attaching toilet, sink, mixer tap, push button flush and concealed cistern;
11) Build a 4 inch raised platform for shower tray, allowing for waste, and install shower tray onto platform. Fix glass screen to the wall and install the tower shower (external to wall).
12) Above door, remove glass and fit timber support and plasterboard into half of the void. Apply smooth skim plaster to both sides and install 6 square glass blocks to open remaining space.
N.B. The tiles I am planning on using are travertine and will therefore need to be cut wet. I can get hold of the tile cutter, if necessary.
I have received an estimate that the work should not take more than 7 to 10 days, given the size of the bathroom, and am therefore looking for the cost to reflect the fairly small job.
