fixing bamboo screening to wall

I need a thin bamboo garden screen to be attached to my garden wall which is around a metre high. My partner has screwed and drilled in wooden thick slats along the wall at intervals to attach whatever we need to attach the screen on so that it doesn't have to go directly into the brick. The wall is just over 3m and the screening is 2m high.
