Description of the house:
This is a semi-detached 4 bedroom house. 120 m2, but only 80 m2 need flooring.
Description of the Job:
1) Remove the existing carpet & laminate floor, as well as skirting boards (radiators may also need to be removed)
2) Prep the floor, including 2 problem areas (see attached)
3) Install underlay, wooden floor and skirting boards
4) Adjust doors, if necessary (5 in total)
The wooden floor is 150x18mmxRL (400-1500mm) Solid brushed oiled oak.
The original floor is wooden throughout the house (except porch and possibly hallway, which are concrete).
Materials which will be provided:
- flooring, as described above
- underlay
- skirting boards
Everything else, including tools, needs to be provided by the tradesman.
Rooms:
- Porch
- Hallway
- Living / Dining Room
- 4 bedrooms (3 double + 1 single)
- landing (no stairs)
Cash payment.
Problem areas:
1) Due to a house extension, the floor on the landing is not the same level and needs to be levelled across the landing.
2) One slab of original wooden floor underneath the carpet is not levelled, again on the landing.
