We live in a council maisonette in Skelmersdale and have a hole in the kitchen ceiling due to a leak that occurs when the shower is used.
We've had a council plumber out before now who took the side off the bath and couldn't find the cause. The ceiling only leaks when the shower is running. The leak maybe inside the wall.
We need someone to locate the leak, repair it and then replace any tiles and repair the bathroom and kitchen ceiling.
Shower is a non-electrical mixer shower with pipes fitted inside the wall.
Hole in kitchen ceiling, directly below the shower is approx 10cm in diameter.
Council have said they wont deal with the problem because we had the shower fitted ourselves , although i've tried to contend that the problem started after the shower fixture was removed when the council had the bathroom redone.
Quotes for specific parts of the job (ie: just fixing the leak) are also of interest.
