I am looking at cabling and installing cat6 and HDMI cabling to my new house in the beginning of February.
The house is a 3 bed semi detached property.
The idea is to have a rack of AV equipment under the stairs (Sky HD 1TB, NAS, Virgin Router, Xbox, Media Player & Blu-Ray player). The HDMI outputs will map into a HDMI matrix switch, and the Ethernet devices will plug into a 24 port 1GbE switch.
From those switches, I wish to run 2x HDMI and 3x Cat6 cables into the lounge and 2nd bedroom upstairs (both within 10m of the rack) and another 3x Cat6 cables into the 3rd bedroom.
The job is to wire all cabling into each room (creating tunnels and trunking in the walls/under the floorboards etc), and finishing each room with high quality plaster finish over the trunking, and with brush plates in two rooms, and trio ethernet plate in the 3rd room.
Job is to take place w/c 6th Feb in Byfleet.
