Dear Sirs,
I'm halfway through building a kitchen and am looking to install hardwood worktops, only I don't have ready access to a router.
Could you quote for either: installing or supplying & installing as below?
Cut and router finish beech worktops:
- Cut to width (2 sections)
- Cut to length (2 sections)
- Cut out hob opening
- Cut out sink opening
- Cut tap hole
- Cut 1 additional hole at edge to accommodate services
- Join (2 sections - 1 butt joint)
- Install to base units
I'm considering sourcing my worktops online as beech 3000x920 & 4000x760 pieces in either 26mm or 40mm thickness however I only require 2560x785 & 3470x665 finished sizes (including a 10/15mm length tolerance) approx cost from barncrest.co.uk is £550 for 26mm thickness - if you would be able to offer a competitive alternative please let me know. Wood source should be FSC certified.
Base units are already installed, sink and hob + opening sizes are on site. Finished worktop will be L shaped, both ends are closed (by tall cabinet & wall respectively). Space is available to lay out the worktops for oiling prior to install - could you quote for oiling as an extra or if you would rather i can oil. Budget given below is for fitting - materials would be extra.
I'm looking to start ASAP.
Thanks,
Michael
