Level and fill an old serving hatch on one wall and plaster same wall

Hi I have an old serving hatch that I need to be filled and plastered over. It had a board fixed over the hatch in the living room when the kitchen wall on the other side got plastered. The frame of the hatch on the living room side is still there and will need removing and then the whole of the wall will need plastering. The wall area is roughly 7x9 feet in size. The wall in question also has a storage heater that will need plastering around. Thanks.
