Piping and electricals (incl. certification) for new kitchen installation

OVERVIEW We are replacing our 2nd floor (flat block) kitchen in Peckham, London - keeping existing electric oven, and freestanding dishwasher and refrigerator, but replacing existing gas hob + extraction hood with induction hob and filter-based hood. See attached pictures of existing configuration and planned new configuration. If needed, exact dimensions and specifications of cabinets/appliances can be provided. The intention is to have you perform the work which involves: a) removing existing and installing new piping on Walls B and C; b) removal of gas to hob (being replaced with induction) but leave line available in case future resident wants to use gas; c) all wiring and installation of any electricals which require certification (you must be registered to self-certify your work). We will have the new cabinets, sink and appliances here, ready to install. To the extent that I can do so without impeding the wiring/piping work, I will install all cabinets. I will also have these pre-assembled for when you arrive in case we need to determine where holes must be made for electricals, etc. Any ‘refinishing’ / painting / plastering I can do myself. All wall tiles on Wall C will be removed before you begin. I am doing all tiling. For any needed parts.. there is a B&Q on Old Kent Road, 5 minute drive away. If there are any parts you think I need to purchase in advance let me know. (if needed, we have hammer drill, jigsaw, plaster, etc.) We have another job – removal and replacement of a radiator (new radiator supplied by me) further along Wall C and this work could be completed at same time. This would be priced separately. DETAILS Currently, water + waste pipes run to just beyond the sink on Wall B, while gas line runs to hob. There are electricals as follows: 1) one plug socket at back of cabinet on Wall A; 2) One power bar under Oven; 3) One socket on panel with ‘Oven off’ switch next to hob; 4) one double socket on Wall C about 1.5 feet above ground level (which will be behind dishwasher with New layout) The water tank and hot water cylinder are housed in the cabinets on Wall A and combination boiler is not an option (not permitted by freeholder). We have occasional waste drainage issues (so far solved by plunging but never 100% satisfactorily) and would like complete replacement / improvement of the piping currently on Wall B. In the future we will want to improve/replace the piping in the cabinets with the water tank on Wall B but this is not part of this project. If, however, you have ideas for improving waste pipe performance they would be welcomed. Need to: a) Remove existing pipe work (cold, hot, waste) on Wall B and replace with pipework running along Wall B and around to Wall C where the new sink and dishwasher will be located. Connections needed to appliances shown in New diagram – waste and water for washing machine (remains below water tank on Wall A) and for sink and dishwasher (both to be on Wall C). Accessible isolation valves to shut off hot and cold water for washing machine, dishwasher and sink to be included. b) Do not retain/add connections for sink/dishwasher in their present location – we only want connections for sink/dishwasher in new location. c) Uninstall gas hob. Leave basic gas connection in (in case future user wants to install gas oven) but turn off gas (no longer needed as new hob will be induction, not gas) but do not need the entire line in there – only enough that it could be later extended without going into the housing cabinets on Wall A. (I will dispose/give away hob or you can take away for free). Although the existing units are as displayed in the pictures, they have been already removed and are not fixed to each other – we have just moved them back into place for the time being. (The exception is unit housing the oven / hob which we would like to just take apart at the time the gas supply is removed). d) Install/relocate all electrical connections as necessary for new kitchen layout. I can provide any extension leads needed. To include: a) outlet for refrigerator; b) hookup locations for existing oven in new location and new induction hob; c) hob ‘hood’ fan; d) to retain existing plug sockets on Wall C near floor (this will be for dishwasher and also to use small kitchen appliances on top of the countertop in new design); e) outlet to use for plug-based cabinet lighting to be installed later by myself (i.e. need a substitute for the power strip currently located underneath the oven). [Question – should the single existing outlet behind the washing machine on Wall C be used for both washing machine and refrigerator or will an additional outlet on Wall B need to be installed] e) Hook-up of new induction hob and oven in new location. Inspection and certification of electrical works. Hook-up of sink in new location (I am fine to do dishwasher, washing machine, basic plumbing etc.).
