Log cabin is 3m x 4m and approx 10m from rear of mid-terraced house.
Would like 2 x double sockets + 2 internal light fittings with switch + 1 external waterproof light fitting on dusk/dawn timer light installed. Total load not expected to exceed 2.5 kW (lights + 1kW heater + other occassional use small appliances - hedge trimmer, radio, TV, etc). Would prefer external cable to run from house along existing outside fence to cabin rather than be buried.
Contractor to provide and install any necessary CUs, cabling, sockets, switches, and external light timer and fitting, all to meet certification under part 'P' regs.
Work to commece ideally late Dec/early Jan (cabin is new & is being erected last week of December).
Issues: House wiring is ancient. However, new kitchen with kitchen CU and separate circuit to current stds installed 2 years ago. Also, loft converted 5 years ago again to current stds with its own CU. Unfortunately, all CUs located on inside of front wall of house and no obvious void path for wiring to rear (i.e. no basement, concrete ground floor, loft converted, mid-terrace with party walls either side). Also all existing house wall socket wiring is on front wall or front half of house. Exception is the loft, where there is a new ring main (or maybe spur) around the perimeter including the rear, connected to the loft CU - maybe a possibility for spurring off if load allows?
