PUt up a stud wall

I am looking to put upa stud wall in an open plan living room to block off the stairs, it would be approx 4 meters long by 2.3 meters high, and would reuire a sinlge door frome built in. The joists are at 90 degrees to the required wall so positioning is no problem. I am looking for the wall to be put up and plastered.
