Rectify Dimplex storage radiator
Flat has three night-time supply storage radiators - those in bedrooms work fine, so the Economy 7 off-peak system is not the problem. The storage heater in the living area is dual system but only the convector heater, using ordinary rate electricity is currently working. There may be a very simple fault - broken connection, faulty switch / thermostat, but I need a qualified electrician to check and repair or advise. NB the indicator light does come on at night, so the off-peak circuit is NOT at fault.
If nothing can be done, then I am prepared to buy a more modern heater and have that installed, but I do not wish to do this unless it is really necessary (not just cost but trouble of dismantling/disposing) so need an honest assessment first.
