removal of small palm/PALM GROWN in back garden

Hi I have planted, a few years back, a small palm tree (plant) in the back garden. Since them the palm tree has grown taller and now I am at the stage that I would like to have it removed. The palm tree is thin and has always been trimmed at the top, however it is now getting too tall and I am looking to have it removed by having the base cut with a saw.
