Remove & Disposal of A Dead Tree

There's a tree in my garden which is (almost) dead and is losing branches. It is a silver birch I believe, but could be wrong. The tree is ~3m from my house & the canopy of the doesn't over hang the house but the root system may be close to / under the house. It needs removing in a manner that will not affect my house in the long term. This job needs doing as soon as possible. Only qualified tree surgeons to provide quotes please.
