We have approximately 34 sq. metres of engineered flooring to be layed over about 32 sq. metres of floor, covering a living room and a landing space (so not quite 10% for cuts, but close). Before that, the floorboards themselves need a bit of repair, particularly in a bay window area. The joists don't currently fully reach the end of the bay, and the area has been knocked about a bit by the installation of services (gas, water and electricity all come through that area). In a few other places, the floorboards are uneven (they aren't sitting properly on the joists below), and this would need some attention.
Once the floors are laid, we would like skirting boards fixed to the walls, and the area around the services / meters boxed off (one set of boxes on the inside of either side of the bay window).
We're looking for a few separate items on the quote:
1) cost to make the floor good (including repairs around the bay)
2) cost to lay the floor
3) cost to fix skirting boards, and box area around the meters
Fixed price would be ideal, but am open to other pricing structures
Looking to get work started in June
