Repair work after a small flood

A small area in my kitchen and the area above the window in my bathroom were damaged quite a while ago by a bit of flooding from my upstairs neighbour. The areas will be completely dry by now and I need to get them back to their original condition. This may involve a small amount of plastering and then painting. I would like advice on anything else that is required to make the areas good again.
