I had a leak from the cold water feed on my toilet.
The leak had apparently been happening for some time and has damaged the floor under the Laminate.
The Bathroom is 2.48m x 1.41m.
I've had someone come out to survey the damage and they think the floor will need drying out - which I'm in the process of arranging seperately.
They think about 2sq metres of the floor will need replacing (I'm guessing he was referring to the chipboard underneath the laminate).
The laminate itself has warped and come apart at the joins, I imagine it all needs replacing. I would prefer to have lino in there anyway.
The toilet is "boxed in". The button to flush it is mounted on the front (behind the toilet lid when it is lifted). The boxed surround may need replacing as it has expanded a bit at the bottom and is discoloured from absorbing the water.
I'm told the toilet and bath will need to be removed in order to replace the floor.
