Replace/clean old Storage heater in my Flat

I have a large storage heater in my lounge. I have had no issues with it before, but since turning it on for the winter a couple of weeks ago, my wife seems to be allergic to it. She is getting itchy eyes, runny nose and sneezing alot. I suspect this is down to the dust in the unit or perhaps it just needs cleaning. If not, how much will it cost to replace it? It works prefectly fine. Can you clean these heaters? Its one of the Dimplex Storage Heaters with a heating fan built in, as well as the storage heater. Many thanks.
