Reskim lounge walls and finish off hole on chimney left by fire

Reskim lounge walls lounge 4.2 x 3.2m approx. The chimney breast has a hole left by a gas fire,I am not replacing the fire and the inside of the hole needs plastering and the edges need finishing properly as they aren't straight. The chimney breast has had some poor quality plastering before and really needs a nice flat finish. A electrical cable running from the ceiling to a socket needs burying in the plaster. Its currently in a plastic tube.
