Review house structure & recommend & carry out remedial action to stabilise structure

Review house structure & recommend & carry out remedial action to stabilise structure. Semi built in 1908 suffered historical cracking to walls and ceilings. Building works carried out in 2006 caused fresh cracking. Recent remedial action (August 2010) to stabilise the property has resulted in historical cracks reappearing elsewhere in the property. It is suspected that it is the design of the roof structure causing uneven weight / stress on the structure. We would like to have remedial work carried out to prevent further cracking / movement but wish to ensure any works are the correct way to go as the piecemeal approach taken so far has solved one problem but seems to have caused other issues. So we need a holistic approach to ensure we take the correct actions to secure the structure.
