We are buying a 2-bedroom house in Canton, Cardiff that was constructed in 1999. From our Woolwich survey, it appears that some work needs to be done on the roof. The surveyor says:
"The timbers are adequately braced in the form of diagonal and longitudinal timbers and there is no evidence of significant distortion. However, the frame lacks adequate restraint in so much that no galvanised steel straps have been incorporated to tie in the gable wall. Provide strapping in accordance with current Building Regulations to prevent movement of the trusses."
The agent has said that we can get someone in to do a quote before moving in. Please contact if you are keen to take this job and provide us with an initial/provisional quote. We can then give you the estate agent's details to arrange a formal quote for the job.
Budget unknown as yet.
