Small garden job

Gardening job for small garden. Grass needs cutting, the mower we bought at Homebase was a waste of money, it rips out all the grass! Grass is now ridiculously long, although we tried cutting it down with a garden trimmer. But that's just no real use either. There are several plants in the garden (roses, lavendar, sage, etc...) that need watching when mowing (but there will probably be someone at home if garden is done on Friday 4th July or Saturday 5th July). With a proper lawnmower it shouldn't take more than 30-45 minutes, maybe one hour to get everything done. Also, there is a small but steep slope in the garden. Thank you!
