Staircase in shop needs some work doing. Basic DIY Skills required. Canterbury, Kent

I'm opening up a shop on the second floor of a current shop. The staircase is narrow and not very attractive. Needs basic DIY doing to it. Staircase needs to be suitable for public. The sides of it need to be boarded up and covered up as the wall is uneven and ugly Possibly some work done to the bannister (removing it maybe) New noses on the stairs Basically it just needs a professional finish to get customers to walk up the stairs. Small DIY job. Need it done ASAP. Can supply pictures on request however be best to see it. Experience essential. Will take no longer than a day.
