I've recently installed a new shower, and the additional water causes the tiles (1980's) to peel off. Rather than removing the shower, it's time to redo the tiling & painting...
Job includes;
- Removing the old tiles and wallpaper (where new tiles will be fitted)
- Removing the toilet resevoir & bowl (if required), sink and shower and refitting them afterwards
- Ensuring a proper seal around the bath tub
- Painting of ceiling and all walls that aren't tiled in a colour that suits the new tiles (off-white?).
As you can see in the photo's, there are currently only tiles to about 1 meter high, but I like this to be extended to about 2m (just above the shower), on the same walls as currently have tiles. In total, it's about 8 square meters that needs to be tiled. I'm planning to use standard white tiles (25x40) with a blue border on two levels, however, if you have any better (similar) ideas, or would like to provide your own tiles, that can be discussed. Please note that I will be replacing the carpet shortly, so no need to worry about spillage :)
I'm planning to get the job done within the next month.
