We have a side entrance, three bed period semi in North Kingston which we have to do some work on before moving in.
In the first floor, we would like to remove a metre-wide section of bedroom wall so that we can make room for a new shower. However, the wall is load bearing, in that attic beams run at a 90 angle across the top of the wall. Only three beams, I believe, would be impacted by the wall removal.
So, I would need someone to assess the structural requirements and provide and fit any steel/beam work necessary to support beams following removal of the wall.
Thanks
