We are switching a kitchen and bedroom around. We therefore need the sockets in both rooms changed. Both rooms will be empty carcasses with lots of the flooring torn up in the kitchen already, which will make the job easier. The wiring and sockets we want recessed but we are going to be plastering anyway so we'll cover the channels ourselves. All distances are horizontally from the consumer unit in the kitchen.
Kitchen:
1) Boiler - will need a fused connection unit. On wall next to CU, ~1m away.
2) 2 double and 1 single socket at ankle height - for appliances. On the wall next to the CU at ~ 1m, 3m and 4m(on other side of a partition wall).
3)Fused Connection Units - for IKEA hob, oven and extractor fan. On the wall next to CU, ~3m away.
4) 3 double sockets - above worktop height. 2 in roughly the same position as current sockets but moved up from ankle height. The last is a new one 1m across from one of these.
Bedroom:
1) Move Socket - down 1/2m (there's enough cable), and recess the wiring and socket.
2) Investigate Light - currently the lighting is from low voltage plug-in lights, we want a standard light. There is a switch for an old circuit and a mark where the ceiling rose was. We would like this investigated and if there is a viable circuit, a ceiling rose installed.
Other:
1) Lounge - there's a fused connection unit that doesnt do anything. If possible we'd like this removed.
2) Conservatory - outside the kitchen there is a conservatory / lean-to. We'd like a surface mounted double socket installed. This is just the other side of the wall from the kitchen circuit.
We'd like you to supply all components. The sockets can all be standard white except the Kitchen 4) which should be stainless steel.
The date's we are considering are the last week of Jan or first week in Feb. We are trying to coordinate with a plumber for the boiler and need the kitchen wiring finished before he starts. This means the kitchen electrics (other stuff can be done later) done beginning of the week, so the date's we could do are 24t / 25th Jan, or 31st Jan / 1st Feb. If you have any queries please feel free to contact me, thanks.
